Skills define what your AI employees can do. They are modular capabilities you can mix and match to create specialized team members.
Skill Categories

Assigning Skills
To assign skills to an employee:
- Go to the employee's profile (click "More" → "Edit")
- Navigate to the "Skills" section
- Browse the skills catalog
- Toggle skills on/off as needed
- Save changes
How Skills Work
Skills provide employees with:
- Knowledge - Domain-specific information and best practices
- Capabilities - Ability to perform specific actions
- Context - Understanding of when and how to apply the skill
- Tools - Access to integrations (email, calendar, etc.)
Audio Transcriber
The Audio Transcriber skill converts audio and video files to text locally - no external API needed.
- Supported formats - MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, WebM, and more
- Subtitles - Generate SRT or VTT subtitle files
- Multiple languages - Transcribe in various languages
- Local processing - All transcription happens on your server, no data leaves your infrastructure
Skill Combinations
Employees can have multiple skills. Common combinations:
- Sales Rep - Communication + Sales + Research
- Content Creator - Content + Media + Research
- Customer Support - Communication + Research
- Developer - Development + Documentation
Skill inheritance
Employees from the Catalog come with pre-assigned skills based on their role. You can add or remove skills after hiring.
